    Chicken salad was so delicious (amazing dressing). Aubergine cheese soup was very delicious. Roasted duck with mash potato was so delicious as well. Wok lamb with cuscus was very flavorful. Chocolate lava was good, but not amazing...I expected it to be bitter as it says 70% cacao, but was sweet. Virgin strawberry mojito needs a bit of lime. In general, it was an amazing experience. Employees were good. Beautiful restaurant and nice atmosphere. Medium prices.

    This was a great restaurant. We were 4, and we all took a different meal. We all loved it very much, great tastes with some meals served in copper 'cocotte'. The aperizer of shrimp salad was a bit spicy in a subtle way, and it was very refreshing. The desert was just what was needed to top off this great meal. We will be back.

    My meal at La Boussole in La Rochelle was an absolute delight from start to finish. The attention to detail in each dish was evident, and the flavors were simply exquisite. The breaded shrimp was crispy and perfectly cooked, with a fresh and vibrant salad on the side that balanced the richness of the shrimp beautifully. The salmon tartare was fresh and seasoned to perfection, making each bite a pleasure. The highlight was the main course: a perfectly seared piece of fish served in a creamy, flavorful sauce that was rich without being overwhelming. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, accompanied by crisp and well-seasoned fries. To top it all off, the desserts were a perfect ending to the meal. The creme brulee was smooth and creamy with a perfectly caramelized top, and the other dessert, with its light and airy texture, paired beautifully with the tangy raspberry coulis. Overall, La Boussole offered an exceptional dining experience. The combination of expertly prepared dishes, excellent service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere makes it a must-visit when in La Rochelle. Highly recommended!

    Just slightly off the beaten track, but worth it. The food is the star in a slightly overcrowded and understaffed restaurant. Place was full of non tourists and families. Everything was cooked fresh and perfectly. My two sons (9&10) loved the food here.

    Absolutely the best meal we had in La Rochelle but possibly also during our month in France. The food was amazing. Salmon tartare and beef carpaccio starters. Steak and duck for mains. The offer an excellent set menu option to choose starter/main, main/dessert or all 3. Very nice restaurant and staff very friendly. Highly recommend.

    Very Good service & Friendly staff they allowed us to sit in 15mins before the open because it was raining Food served was hot and plating was nice Portion was a bit small for the Fish of the Day Others on Menu ie the Beef & Tuna portion was very big

    Outstanding restaurant with top quality food, awesome staff and great atmosphere. 2 people, 2 courses including wine and coffee - under 80. Similar price to other local restaurants but signify more superior in quality. This is a MUST TRY local restaurant... highly recommend the sword fish. Special thanks to David for his friendly approachable and helpful service. We WILL return next time we are in France.

    I arrived without a reservation and they were able to accommodate me on a busy night. I had the swordfish as a main and it was absolutely delicious. I ate every last rice grain of it! Price-wise I found it very reasonable as well, though I didn't order drinks. Friendly staff and fast service. 5/5 for me!
